Greetings! My name is James.

After looking through the numerous courses, websites, and methods available to learn and speak English, I'm sure you're probably feeling somewhat overwhelmed. You may be asking if you even need a personal teacher/tutor with so much material available online and in social media. In fact you probably feel that you could learn a great deal online or through your relationships with English speaking friends.

So why have a teacher? Well, in my opinion one of the best things about having an English teacher is the opportunity to customize your learning experience. For example, maybe you want to learn and talk about subjects and use specialized language that is usually not presented in many textbooks or online. Customization of classes is just one reason to have a teacher. Can you think of others?

Think about this. Many speakers of other languages around the world read and listen to reports about important subjects, originally in English, that are filtered (or censored) before they reach you in your native language. Or at other times this information may only available in English and you may never see it. A knowledgeable teacher will help you "fill in the gaps" while learning English.

As your teacher, I will teach what YOU want to learn while you will provide the materials from which you want to learn. In other words, you will be learning what is relevant to you and what is of interest to you. As a student or employee you will learn what you need to know to pass your exam or do your job better, all in English.
