Hello, my name is Karl. I am a native English speaker from Toronto, Canada.

I have been teaching English as a second language in Mexico since 2009. I hold TEFL and TESOL certificates. I have also studied IT and robotics in Canada. I am currently studying again, this time for a Computer Science Bachelor's Degree. I have many interests including renewable energy, finance, business, space exploration, and new technologies.

I have worked in many different sectors in my career. One sector that I enjoyed was in the manufacturing space. One of my employers was an accessory supplier of equipment in the plastics industry. This company specialized in machinery for injection molding machine processes. I was part of their technical team and provided programming and repairs for their industrial robots. I also developed a training program for clients' production workers to teach them how to do basic programming on the robots used in their factory.

During my English classes, I like to do different activities with my students. One of my favorite activities is to read modern news articles that are interesting to my students. Other activities can also include writing assignments or even watching videos in class and then discussing them. All of these activities on different media help to keep classes interesting while practicing all of the different forms in which we use a language.
