I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication from the Central University Marta Abreu of Las Villas, Cuba with a distinction and was selected as the most comprehensive student of my degree in my year.
In 2012, I began teaching in the Department of Social Communication at University of Cienfuegos and by 2014 I completed a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences at the University of Havana.
During 2015 and 2016 I served as Coordinator of the UCF Institutional Communication Group. In this position, I diagnosed the state of the institutional communication, the organizational culture, and afterward developed the communication strategy for the university. During this period, I also designed the communication strategy for the Municipal Government of Cienfuegos, and served as President of the Organizational Communication Circle of the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS). In 2017, I traveled to the United Kingdom and conducted research for my doctoral thesis project and worked as a volunteer at People for Animal Care Trust (PACT) Animal Sanctuary in Norwich, Norfolk.
In January 2019 I graduated with my PhD in Social Communication Sciences from the University of Havana. After graduating, I served as the Coordinator of the Social Communication program at the undergraduate and graduate level in the Department of Communication Sciences at the UCF. I am currently part of the teaching team of the PhD in Science, Technology, and Society at this university, and I am completing a post-doctorate in "Management of scientific research and innovation as ways of professionalization".
During my academic career I have managed to balance teaching, research, and family life.
