Hello, I'm Mariel!
I am Mexican, I was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos. But now I find myself living in the beautiful and colorful city of Oaxaca de Juárez.

Some of the things that I like is studying about personal development, psychology, spirituality, but also I enjoy music, dancing, traveling, enjoying nature, choral singing (I've been part of choral groups most of my life) and vegetarian cooking.

I have a bachelor's degree in Language Teaching. I have mainly been teaching English and French for more than 8 years and just recently started teaching Spanish to foreigners.

I am passionate about languages ??and even more so to be able to share Mexican culture through my native language, Spanish.

My teaching method is basically learning by doing. After many years of teaching I have confirmed that the most efficient way to learn a language is creating a meaningful experience between the student and the target language. And making it fun!

I like to teach in a dynamic and fun way, with different activities to develop your 4 language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing.

I consider myself a patient and empathetic teacher. However, I like to challenge my students and raise the level of difficulty, gradually, focusing on offering them all the time and space to practice and feel confident.

As for certifications, in addition to my degree, I presented the TKT exams (Teaching Knowledge Test), I passed English proficiency test CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) from Cambridge, DELF B2 in French and JLPT N5 of Japanese.
