Oscar Parra

Oscar is from Bogota, Colombia. He’s a certified TEFL/TESOL, Train the Trainer, Hospitality Business Administrator and a Project Management Specialist. At the moment, he’s getting a certification in Online Digital Marketing.

Oscar has worked as an Asst F&B Manager, F&B Manager, Asst. Hotel Manager, Corporate Trainer in the hospitality industry in different countries (U.S., South America, French Polynesia -Tahiti…). He’s also worked for the major airline in his home country (Avianca-Taca) as a Coordinator in the Flight Attendants Operations School.

I like photography, cooking, driving and exploring historical and archaeological sites. I've visited Mexico and Belize learning about the Mayas and some of their most interesting sites as xenotes, pyramids etc.
In some of my cruiseline trails, I visited the French Polynesia, where I learned some basic French and met some locals, learnling a lot about Polynesian customs and culture. In Alaska I learned about indigenous nations who lived there long before pioneers settled in this area.
My students will not only learn about the language (Eng/Spa) but also interesting cultural and historical facts from several countries.

I hope we can learn and enjoy some lessons where I use the flipped-classroom and Micro-teaching methodologies that combined, make an excellent way for students to learn and push their process in a significant way.
