I am a certified teacher/tutor with 14 years of teaching experience. I taught Accounting for 8 years in Jamaica and English for 6 years in Japan. I have a master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL , a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education and Training, and a BSc. in Accounting and Psychology. My lessons are well-prepared and mostly student-centered. I design and adapt materials that are both appropriate and challenging to my learners. I listen to my students and use their own interests to make the lessons more relatable and interesting. Conversational topics we could enjoy together include solo travelling or travelling in general , cooking and sharing recipes and culture. If you'd like, we could do a cooking lesson in English (I have done this in the past). English is a tool and great resource to have, it is not just a subject.
